953 is the first year that Topps Chewing Gum used paintings instead of photographs for every baseball card. This artwork was purchased from Executive Collectibles in their Spring Auction April 18th 1997 and was Lot # 919.
There have been two minor changes to the background of the original card to make it look more like a ballpark, a building and some bleachers. However, this is the original painting of the player that was used to make the card and a copy of the original card is included so you can tell the difference.
Dimensions: Approximately 5 1/2X7
Framed Status: Unframed
